Hey, Spring... Where are you?

Somewhere down the road, we're going to be complaining about the heat and humidity, the mosquitoes and other bugs, and about the need to get out an mow the lawn so frequently.

Not yet, though. For now, we can complain about Ole Man Winter refusing to leave, about more cold weather, and about snow.Spring arrived on the calendar five days ago, but the calendar obviously doesn't mean the conversion to warmer temps, singing birds, and open convertible tops. The National Weather Service says one to three inches of snow is expected to fall today. While early predictions were for the snow to arrive about 2 a.m., most people arose this morning to find their cars either have just a slight dusting or none at all - depending on where you live.Streets were clear through mid morning.Snow showers are possible through tonight and tomorrow, but no additional accumulation is forecast.Overnight temperatures tonight, tomorrow night, and Thursday night will be in the mid 20s - enough for frost to collect on your windshields. The good news is that the Weather Service also says temperatures are supposed to gradually keep climbing this week and by Easter Sunday, could be near 50.Want another reason to complain? It might not be warm, but hay fever season has arrived on schedule. Talk to any allergy sufferer and they'll tell you the season arrived on time ... much quicker than spring.
