A Jim Thorpe man is facing charges according to borough police.

Police said Zachary Carl Simmons, 28, of 638 Center Ave., has been charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property. Police said Simmons is accused of overcharging a client of his previous employer in the amount of $25. The alleged incident occurred sometime between April and May.He is also charged with theft, receiving and unsworn falsification to authorities for an incident on May 3. Simmons is accused of taking $1,000 in cash from the Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club.
