A controversial Hare Krishna sect has shelved its proposal to build a 300-acre walled "City of God" in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware after potential neighbors failed to roll out the welcome mat. "It's not impossible, but we kind of sense it's not very likely after the reaction in that area. We don't want to stir people up where they are unhappy," said a spokesman for the sect, Gadadhar Das. Among the sites to which they were making reference was Flagstaff Mountain Park, overlooking Jim Thorpe.
