The West End Rotary Club will meet at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at the Western Pocono Community Library in Brodheadsville. The speaker will be Lou Herfurth. His topic will focus on audiology.
Women's Club meets
The Western Pocono Women's Club is having its first meeting of 2013 on Monday, March 18, at 7 p.m., at Effort United Methodist Church. The guest speaker will be Dean Green from Operation: Touch of Home.

Three shows for the Pleasant Valley High School musical, "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown," are scheduled. They are: 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 15; 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 16; and 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17.
The Western Pocono Lions Club will hold its monthly dinner meeting at The Old Mill Pizza on Route 209 in Sciota. Gathering time is at 6:30 p.m.; the meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Attendees will order off the menu.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Michael Tukeva, executive director of Pocono Alliance. He will present information to the group about the Crossing Abilities Playground.
Zion Lutheran, Brodheadsville, will hold a healing service at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 20.
Zion Lutheran's Senior Citizens' Group will meet at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 21. The group is open to those who are 50 years and older.
Beverages are provided, but participants should bring a sandwich.
Church Women United will hold a business meeting at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 22 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stroudsburg.
Participants are asked to use the back entrance. The meeting will take place in the library.

Easter egg event
The Western Pocono Lioness Club in cooperation with the West End Park & Open Space Commission is hosting a free Easter Egg Event on Sunday, March 24, from 1-3 p.m., at Chestnuthill Park. Among the activities will be egg coloring, photos with the Easter Bunny, and more.
When Fairview Seniors meet on Tuesday, March 26, the speaker will be from PPL. The subject will be: Power to Make a Difference.
Knit & Crochet
Zion Lutheran Church's Knit & Crochet group is busy making sweaters for children, scarves and socks for PVEN, lap blankets for shut-ins and those in nursing homes.
The group will meet again at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, in the Parish Hall in Brodheadsville.
Give and Take Day
Chestnuthill Township will host a free Give and Take Day on Saturday, April 6, at Chestnuthill Township Park on Route 715.
The time for giving is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the time for taking, from 1-4 p.m.
