There will be an artist reception for Pat Transue, of Saylorsburg, at the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library on Friday, March 15 from 6-8 p.m.

Transue is a photographer and owner of Peaceful Images, which features her photographic digital abstract art.

Her work has been shown in Delaware Water Gap and Three Moons Gallery and in several places of business throughout Monroe County, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It can also be seen at Art Scene in Wilkes-Barre.

Transue adapts her photography to pins, necklaces, trivets, and recycled glass. Her digital abstract art starts out with one of her photographs of something in nature and through several processes ends up becoming a one-of-a-kind piece of abstract art. Each design is unique even though she might have started with the same photograph. She says it is like an adventure.

"You never know where you will end up," she adds.
