File for divorce

Christopher G. Yost, 125 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, filed suit for divorce from Rochelle C. Yost, 842 Barnesville Drive, Barnesville. They were married Jan. 27, 2007.

Tracey L. Dombroski, 185 Roosevelt Drive, Morea, Mahanoy Township, started a divorce action against Randolph J. Dombroski, 609 W. Pine St., Mahanoy City. They were married July 25, 1991.

Divorces granted

Angela M. Rox, 107A W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Scott L. Rex, 1866 Dinky Road, Lehighton. They were married March 2, 2006.

Kristina Markowitz, 509 Blue Mountain Drive, New Ringgold, was granted a divorce from Victor P. Markowitz, 180 Hottenstein Road, Kutztown. They were married May 2, 1995.

Non-jury trial

William Halcovage, 49, Minersville, was found guilty of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol by Judge Charles M. Miller following a non-jury trial.

He was sentenced to spend 48 hours to six months in the county prison, however, since he received credit for already serving two days he was placed on immediate parole, fined $500, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, a $50 monthly supervision fee, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, and hiis driver's license is suspended 12 months.

On a summary charge of driving an unregistered vehicle was fined $75; and driving without an official inspection certificate was fined $25 plus $100 in costs. Halcovage was cited by Minersville Patrolman Jason A. Klouser.

Warrant hearing

Jason E. Bankes, 19, of Tamaqua, had his bench warrant issued March 29, 2012, dissolved by Judge James P. Goodman and bail set at $15,000 unsecured with stipulations he must reside at 14 Main St., MaryD, Schuylkill Township, with his father and not relocate without prior court approval, shall not possess, transport, or consume any alcohol or drugs, and must seek gainfull employment.

Bankes was cited by Rush Township Sgt. Duane Frederick, and faces charges of burglary of White Birch Golf Course Pro Shop, Barnesville, and theft of a large amount of lottery tickets, and criminal mischief by damaging a rear door.

Mychal Lauren Beltrami, 27, West Hazleton, had her bench warrant dissolved by Judge Charles M. Miller with stipulation she must reside at 6 Chapel Lane, Gilberton, and cannot relocate without first getting permission from the district attorney's office, shall not possess nor consume alcohol beverages, controlled substance or possess drug paraphernalia, and shall not travel outside the state without permission from the district attorney.

Beltrami faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance brought by Trooper Edward Sanchez after drugs were found on her person when she was admitted to St. Luke's Medical Center's emergency room in Coaldale.

Sentenced

James Leon Ulrich, 44, of 82 Hecla Road, New Ringgold, who entered a guilty plea last December, was sentenced by Judge James P. Goodman on a charge of DUI of alcohol to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Friday, March 8, at 5 p.m. He also must pay a fine of $1,000, pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, a $50 monthly slupervision fee, attend alcohol highway safety school, perform 20 hours community service, and his driver's license is suspended 12 months.

On charges of driving an unregistered car, fined $76; unauthorized transfer of a registration certificate, fined $25; failed to have a driver's license, fined $25; failed to have car insurance, fined $300; failed to drive on roadway laned for traffic, fined $25; involved in accident damaging a parked vehicle, fined $300, failing to give immediate notice to police of accident, fined $25; and driving without an official inspection certificate, fined $25 and pay $400 in costs.

Ulrich was cited by Trooper Arthur F. Wink Jr. when stopped on Pleasant Valley Road in East Brunswick Township on Feb. 4, 2012.
