A Schuylkill County driver sustained what was termed "major" injuries, in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 4 a.m. today. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred at 449 Dad Burnams Rd., in Washington Township.

Troopers said Corey Lewis, 34, of Pine Grove, was driving a 1988 Ford F250 truck northbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road. The truck went onto the berm and collided head-on into a tree.Troopers did not indicate in their report what medical facility Lewis was taken.
