June 18, 1961 Palmerton's Bobby Gelatko pitches a four-hitter to lead his team to a 4-2 Lehigh Valley Legion win over Slatington. Gelatko walks two and strikes out seven in tossing all nine innings. The winners break a 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth, scoring three times on consecutive doubles by Joey Carazo, Ed Kosciolek, Luke Sebo and Frank Bydlon. Carazo and Sebo both finish the contest with two hits. Slatington starter Paul Hoffman pitches the first seven innings and strikes out 13 batters.
