A Jim Thorpe teen is facing charges for an incident that occurred last year.

Borough police said Jared Tyler Weiss, 18, of 510 South Ave., has been charged with burglary (felony one), criminal trespass (felony three), and false alarms to agencies of public safety (misdemeanor three).He was charged in connection with an incident that occurred on Dec. 30, 2012, at about 8:12 p.m. According to police, Weiss admitted to entering the Diligent Fire Company, located at 330 Center Ave., without permission and making a false report to the 9-1-1 center of a dwelling fire at 1517 Center Ave. A total of 19 fire personnel responded to the false alarm call, police said.
