State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes probed over the past weekend.

A crash was reported at 3:12 p.m. on Friday, June 7, along SR61 in Port Clinton. Troopers said the mechanics of the crash is still under investigation. Troopers listed the drivers involved as Tyrone T. Johnson, 37, of Bristol, Aveline Stees, 66, of Hamburg, and Kerry Hartranft, 61, of New Ringgold.

Troopers said a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier was southbound when it and a 2005 Peterbuilt truck tractor with trailer collided. The impact had the Cavalier cross the median and collided head-on with a 1996 Ford F150 truck. After that impact the Cavalier struck a 2012 Honda CRV.

The police report did not indicate who was driving what vehicle, with four vehicles involved and three drivers listed. Troopers ask anyone who might have witnessed this crash to call them at (570) 739-1330.

The second crash was reported along the Gordon Nagle Trail (SR901), in North Manheim Township, on Saturday, no time listed.

Troopers said William E. Lett, 56, of Frackville, driving a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, was westbound and failed to stay in his lane of travel and drifted into the eastbound lane and struck a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz driven by Sarah R. Newton, 33, of Minersville.

Newton sustained a minor injury and was taken to the SMC-S. Jackson St. Lett and his wife, Kathaleen A. Lett, 57, were not injured.

Troopers cited Lett for careless driving.
