A Tamaqua man has been cited following a domestic incident on July 16.

On that date, at 11:34 p.m., an off-duty Rush Township Police Officer was driving in the 300 block of East Broad Street (US209) when he witnessed Terry Hill, 38, of 27 Franklin St., Tamaqua, shoving a woman into a parked vehicle. Hill continued pushing and shoving the woman while the officer parked his vehicle in order to intervene.As the officer approached on foot, he noticed the victim on the ground, unconscious. Hill attempted to flee, but was detained until on duty officers arrived. The victim was transported to St. Luke's Miner's Hospital, Coaldale.Hill was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, who set bail at $10,000 unsecured.
