Mahoning man missing

A Mahoning Township man is missing since Sunday night and police are deeming his disappearance as "suspicious."

Jesse Green, 52, was last seen at Skirmish USA, where he is employed, said Officer In Charge Audie Mertz of the Mahoning Township Police Department.Mertz said he considers the disappearance suspicious because "he didn't show up for work Monday or Tuesday, and that is very uncharacteristic of him."Mertz said also missing is his car, a 2001 Subaru Outback, license number ENW 0207, which is midnight blue and has silver and gold trim. His son, Donovan Green, who lives with Jesse, said the car should have a large bike rack on the back and a paintball stick-figure sticker. Also missing, said Donovan, is the father's Trek mountain bike. The bike is white with red and has a double-long mud guard/fender on the rear.Jesse was an avid mountain bike rider, said Donovan. As a result, volunteers have been checking bike paths between White Haven, Tamaqua, and as far south as Treichlers.Donovan said his phone was pinged and the last call was believed to have been made from Tamaqua. As a result, volunteers searched the Tamaqua area yesterday.Mertz urged that anyone with information on Green's whereabouts is asked to call Mahoning Township Police at (570) 386-2241.
