In the spirit of community collaboration and teamwork taught through youth sports, Fairway Chevrolet in Hazleton is supporting the Tamaqua Area Youth Soccer Association (TAYSA) through the Chevrolet Youth Soccer Program. This sponsorship includes both monetary and equipment donations during the 2013 soccer season.

"Chevrolet Youth Soccer is a grassroots initiative that establishes a positive relationship between local dealers and the communities they serve," said Marc Zwerdling, representative, Chevrolet Youth Soccer Team. "Fairway Chevrolet is sponsoring the TAYSA as part of Chevrolet's nation-wide committment to support youth sports, one community at a time."

Over the course of the season, Fairway Chevrolet will donate equipment to the organization; which may include soccer balls, ball bags, ball pumps, field cones, coach's kits, corner flags, scrimmage vests, mini pop-up goals and first aid kits.

Each sponsored organization will be able to offer Chevrolet Certified Service Coupons to their community to help boost support for their organization.

In addition, free Chevrolet Youth Soccer Breakaway Sweepstakes is back this year. Zwerdling said that this provides an opportunity for the members of the community to win a new 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, along with HD televisions, courtesy of the local Chevrolet dealership.

"Thanks to Fairway Chevrolet and other participating area Chevrolet dealer, youth soccer participants will also have a chance to attend a youth clinic with local professional coaches," said Zwerdling.

Zwerdling added that the 2013 program will provide assistance to 285 organizations in the Northeastern region and Chevrolet dealers will contribute over $450,000 in monetary and equipment donations.

"We are looking forward to a great season with TAYSA that will be filled with exciting games and an enhanced experience for the teams through the equipment and cash donations," said Richie Molinaro of Fairway Chevrolet. "Chevrolet Youth Soccer is just one example of how committed our dealership is to supporting the youth and families in our communities."
