State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes probed by troopers.
A two-vehicle crash occurred about 2:09 p.m. on July 11 along Penn Forest Road, at the intersection with Koch Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.
Troopers said Jason Pietrzyk, 25, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 1986 Buick Regal southbound while Jason Hart, 30, Kunkletown, was operating a 2002 Toyota Corolla northbound. Troopers said Pietrzyk attempted to negotiate a sharp right curve and lost control, crossed the center line, and struck the left front of the Corolla.
No one was injured with damages disabling to the Corolla and minor to the Buick.
A one-vehicle crash occurred about 4:20 p.m. on July 13 along Faulstick Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said John A. Acar, 43, of Sciota, was driving a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country southbound near the intersection with Mount Eaton Road, when he left the road and the vehicle collided head-on with a tree.
Acar was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed. Acar was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
Two motorcycles were involved in a crash at the intersection of Stoney Ridge Road and Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, about 3:40 p.m. on July 21.
Troopers said Todd N. Mertz, 54, Lehighton, was operating a 1986 Yamaha FJ1200 westbound on Stoney Ridge Road and after stopping at the intersection he attempted a left turn onto Forest Inn Road. At this time Michael F. Frey, 43, of Lehighton, was northbound on Forest Inn driving a 1984 Kawasaki LTD700. Frey slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting Mertz's cycle but a collision occurred.
Frey sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Palmerton hospital by Palmerton ambulance. Mertz was not injured.
Troopers cited Mertz for stop signs and yield signs and cited Frey for classes of licenses.
