Nine area residents were among 45 arraigned on criminal charges Monday morning at the Schuylkill County courthouse and pleaded not guilty and requested jury trials.

James Edward O'Brien, 52, of 102 Spring Garden Street, Lansford, charged by Trooper Thomas Hornung with driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, failing to drive at a safe speed, careless driving, and two counts of failing to wear seat belt when stopped on SR209 in East Union Township.

Eric Szumigraj, 23. of 240 Pitt St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Joseph Frederick Krebs, with simple assault and harassment of his wife, Kimberlee.

Jeremy Michael Lee Liggitt, 23, of 27 Polar Court, Summit Hill, charged by Patrolman Krebs with terroristic threats and harassment of Maranda Bonesky, an ex-girlfriend, at the Golden Spike Inn.

Buddy Charles Noel, 34, of 91 Pebble Lane, Tamaqua R.D., charged by Pottsvill Sgt. James R. Roos, with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Andrew Harold Petrushka, 22, of 869 Old St., Hazleton, charged by McAdoo Patrolman Wlliam Michael Curilla, with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to have a driver's license, and failing to comply with sound levels of his vehicle when stopped at Blaine and Cleveland Sts.

Dion James Hess, 44, of 1466 State Road, Zion Grove, North Union Township, charged by Ringtown Patrolman Adam Bernodin Jr., with DUI of alcohol, and careless driving on SR4033.

Luis Angel Rivera, 25, of 303 S. Franklin St., Allentown, charged by West Penn Township Sgt. Jason L. Lorah, with fleeing police, DUI of drugs, resisting arrest, driving while license was suspended, criminal mischief, reckless driving, careless driving, trespass by motor vehicle, and exceeding maximum speed limit by 23 miles-per-hour on West Penn Pike.

Renee Elizabeth Gibas, 41, of 4 Wiggan St., New Philadelphia, charged by Port Carbon Chief Jon J. Bowman, with retail theft of cookies valued at 99-cents from Turkey Hill Minit Mart.

Arthur Patrick Card, 46, of 45 Coal St., Middleport, charged by Trooper Matthew C. Barrett with DUI of alcohol, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, failing to drive at safe speed, and careless driving on the Burma Road in Blythe Township.

Matthew Gerald Desrochers, 40, Canton, Washington County, charged by West Penn Chief Brian J. Johnson, with burglary of the property at 1060 Spring Road, Andreas, criminal trespass, fleeing police, theft of jewelry, receiving stolen property, recklessly endangering another person, and criminal mischief by kicking in front door.

Raven Lynn Negron, 23, Mahanoy City, charged by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey R. Bowers, with theft of jewelry valued in excess of $2,000 from the home of Jody Milyo, 139 S. Third St., Minersville. Negron was also charged by Patrolman Jason A. Klouser, with DUI of drugs, giving a false identification to police, and failing to have a driver's license.

Daniel John Wylie, 43, Ringtown, charged by Trooper Brian L. Walters with terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment of Rita Anne Chernesky, 43, of 40 Main Boulevard, Brandonville, East Union Township. Wylie was also charged by Trooper Mario A. Pompei also with simple assault, harassment and recklessly endangering Ms Chernesky on another occasion.

Garrison Zarcufsky, 26, Shenandoah, charged by Officer Gary R. Keppel, Shenandoah Police, with four counts of simple assault of police officers at Redner's Warehouse Market, possession of bath salts, possession of drug paraphernalia, and retail theft of merchandise.

William Joseph Mooney, 42, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Patrolman Joshua James Pastucka, with DUI of alcohol and drugs.

Daniel Morris Guida, 48, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Patrolman Robert Senape, with criminal attempt to commit criminal trespass on property of Raymond and Joan Jones, 325 W. Centre St.

Kristen Rachael Jacobus, 36, Wyalusing, Bradford County, charged by Ashland Chief Adam Bernodin Jr., with theft of Jeep owned by James Fetterolf, 2501 Walnut St., receiving stolen property, and unauthorized use of vehicle. Jacobus was also charged by Bernodin for credit card theft belonging to Fetterolf.

Angel Salvador Vallette-Paris, 48, inmate at the state correctional institution in Ryan Township, charged by Trooper Scott Grochowski with aggravated harassment by a prisoner of a correctional officer.
