Fred Douglas performed patriotic oldies during the 4th of July performance held in Tamaqua. The free concert was held as part of the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce's 2013 Summer Concert Series, held every other Thursday in the summer from 6 to 8 p.m. on the platform outside the train station. Shows are held weather permitting and are free to the public. The next show is Thursday, July 18 and will include Steve Brosky and Jimmy Meyer performing the blues. A project of the Tamaqua Area Chamber's Marketing Committee, this is the sixth season for the summer concerts at the station.
