Dear Editor:

In your column of Jan. 19, 2013, you be moan the fact that you are taking home less in 2013 than in 2012, because you are required to pay an additional two percent in F.I.C.A.

May "Notch Victims" - those born through the years - 1917 and 1926 get 10 percent less in Social Security payments than those who earned the same amount - thanks to the Nixon Administration. But I'm told that is the cost of government.

Part of my reason for this note is to remind you of your statement around Thanksgiving regarding those required to work on non-essential jobs "shouldn't they be thankful to have a job."

"Open mouth - insert foot."
