A Mahoning Township man has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after ambulance personnel responded to his house for a medical call.
Kyle Stepp, 18, of Jamestown Street, is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing before District Judge Edward Lewis of Jim Thorpe on Jan. 23.
Police said the charges stem from an incident on Nov. 1 at 6:49 p.m.
Ambulance personnel were dispatched to Stepp's Jamestown Street address for a cardiac arrest, the result of a drug overdose, police said.
They added that during the investigation, they found 24 packets and two cut straws which tested positive for heroin.
