A Luzerne County driver was found guilty of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one day trial in Carbon County court last week.
The jury panel found John J. Finn, 30, of Wapwallopen, guilty of two counts of DUI and presiding Judge Steven R. Serfass found him guilty of a motor vehicle summary offense. He was found guilty of driving while being impaired due to alcohol consumption, and second count of driving when blood/alcohol content is between .10 and .15.
Finn was stopped along the turnpike in East Penn Township on Oct. 8, 2011, by state police at Pocono. He was initially stopped for speeding. Given a test, the result was .15BAC.
Serfass deferred sentencing to a later date.
