Attention bargain hunters, LIFE's Tamaqua expansion now open

The expanded area of Life's Second Hand Treasures Thrift Store, a program for Access Services LIFE Program, is now open after two weeks of setup and preparation.

Access Services, a non-profit organization, purchased the Tamaqua Community Center, 223 Center Street, on January 1 to be used to store and sell appliances, furniture and any other large items. Currently, it is filled with over a hundred second hand items.Access Services accepts donations for the thrift shop daily and is able to provide tax return receipts upon request. The store's hours are Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Staff members pointed out that they also do house cleanouts and will pickup larger donations.
