Harrisburg – Peppermint, a 2-year-old Saanen doe exhibited by Andrew Bowman of Slatington, Lehigh County, was named Best Doe of Show in the Junior Dairy Goat Show on Thursday at the 2013 Pennsylvania Farm Show.

Bowman is a member of the Kid-Does 4-H club in Lehigh County and has been showing dairy goats for five years.

"The grand champion Saanen has an excellent mammary system with her combination of support and capacity, and that's why I'm naming her Best Doe of Show," said show judge Dr. Timothy Ness of Chicago, Ill.

Ness placed 67 dairy goat entries in the junior show, including a grand and reserve champion for each breed:
