McAdoo Police are searching for a large sport utility vehicle that caused major damage to a porch in the borough on Dec. 20.

Officers were dispatched to 344 W. Sherman St. at 8:55 p.m. for a hit-and-run incident. On scene, they spoke with the resident, who noted that a vehicle had struck his porch. Tire tracks were visible in the snow, showing a vehicle had jumped the curb, traveled the sidewalk and struck the right side of the porch. Damage to the railing, posts and oil fill pipe were clearly visible.

A witness described the vehicle as a large, dark color SUV, possibly a Suburban.

Anyone with information concerning the incident is asked to call police at 570-929-2590. The suspect vehicle will have front end damage.
