A New York state resident is facing charges in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to Bill's Shop Rite, located in Mount Pocono, about 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 16 for a retail theft incident with a person in custody.

On scene officers found Lorraine Christie-Pilitz, 54, of Merrick. She allegedly took items valued at $67.07 without paying for them.

While being taken into custody police found Pilitz in possession for a small amount of marijuana and prescription medication not in a proper container. She was charged with the retail theft along with drug charges.
