The Carbon County Art League and Pocono Mountain Art Group have joined efforts to bring the joy and beauty of art to the residents of Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center through a free and open art gallery.

The gallery will be displayed at 397 Hemlock Drive in Lehighton, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17.

Paintings, drawings, and photography by local artists will be on exhibit and all art will be available for purchase. The public will have the chance to meet the artists and vote on their favorite painting in the exhibit. Complimentary light refreshments will be served.

The Carbon County Art League is dedicated to preserving the arts in Carbon County. For more information about the gallery, contact Earlene Russell, president, at hemlock@ptd.net or Muriel Black at the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center mblack@mvnrc.com.
