Writers' conference: Keynote speaker

Tracy L. Higley, author of nine novels, will present the keynote speech at the fourth annual Write it Right Writers' Conference, which will be held Saturday, April 20, at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.

The conference will provide writers with news on publishing and tips on getting noticed in the writing world. The event is sponsored by the Black Diamond Writers Network.Higley will share her experiences on finding your truest voice in a noisy world; and will discuss understanding who you are as a writer and how you should make a plan that flows from and supports your authentic voice.Higley has authored nine novels, including Garden of Madness and Isle of Shadows. She is pursuing a graduate degree in ancient history.She has traveled through Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Italy researching her novels. See her journals and more at
