Three area residents were among 29 who were recommended by Schuylkill County District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon to be admitted into Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program for first time offenders. If a person successfully completes the program their record is wiped clean.

Senior Judge D. Michael Stine admitted them into the program and the motion of Byrnes Noon. All were admitted to the program for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Admitted were the following: Matthew W. Truskey, of 512 Fawn Lane, Tamaqua R.D., charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. He was assessed $500 to defray cost of the program, also pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account CJEA) fund, $50 to MCARE fund, attend the alcohol highway safe driving school, perform 10 hours community service, and his driver's license is suspended 30 days. Truskey was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Joseph Krebs, last Sept. 23 when stopped on E. Spruce St.

Andrea L. Canzoneri, 32, of 6 W. Marconi Avenue, Nesquehoning, acquiring and possession of a controlled substance (CS) by misrepresentation, placed for 24 months, $350 assesssment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 20 hours of community service. She was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs, who charged she changed a doctor's prescription to increase the number of oxycodone pills from 60 to 160 but the pharmacist at Shafer's Drug Store became suspicious and called the doctor to confirm the prescription.

George Kolar, 62, Weatherly, impersonating a deputy sheriff from Carbon County, $350 assessment, and $50 to CJEA fund. Kolar was cited by Rush Township Patrolman Richard Bekesy, last April 17 on Claremont Avenue.

Federico Matias Andrade, 27, of 102 Clearview Drive, New Philadelphia, DUI of alcohol, $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend schooling, receive outpatient counseling, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Andrade was cited by Trooper Michael J. Breznik last Aug. 2 when stopped on SR209 south of Tamaqua.
