The Hazleton Fibromyalgia Support Group will not meet in February. Meetings will resume at 6 p.m. on March 6 with local chiropractor Dr. Daniel Gavio who returns to discuss the latest seminar he attended on Active Release Technique.

The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.

These treatment protocols over 500 specific moves are unique to ART. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART is not a cookie-cutter approach.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month (except for January and February) at Faith United Church of Christ, 21 Faith Drive, Hazle Township. This is located off the Airport Beltway behind the Toyota dealership.

Meetings are open to anyone with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome, as well as friends, relatives and drivers.
