Two Summit Hill residents have been charged as a result of a drug raid by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office in the borough Wednesday evening.

According to Lauren Bozart, deputy press secretary of the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, the Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control executed search warrants at 428 W. Iron St., Summit Hill on Wednesday on suspicion that the residents were operating a methamphetamine lab in the home.During the search, evidence was found that Richard Earl George Jr., 40; and Pearl C. Cullen, 37; both of 428 W. Iron St., were manufacturing methamphetamine in the residence. Evidence included a plastic zip-locked bag of suspected methamphetamine; three partially melted plastic soda bottoms containing suspected meth residue; and two cans of Coleman camping fuel.Both were taken into custody and held at the Summit Hill police station where they waived their Miranda Rights and admitted in writing to producing meth or assisting in the production of meth using the One Pot method.They were arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek.George and Cullen were each charged by Narcotics Agent II Charles Horvath with the manufacture of a controlled substance; criminal conspiracy to commit manufacture of a controlled substance; operating a methamphetamine laboratory and illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste; criminal conspiracy to commit operating a methamphetamine laboratory and illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste; possession of a controlled substance; and criminal conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance.
