The engagement of Taryn Ashley Heisler and Derek Crayton, both of Schnecksville, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Barry and Michelle Heisler of Tamaqua.A 2001 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University, she is employed by Dr. Jean McGill.Her fiance is the son of Frank and Linda Crayton of Berwick.A 2000 graduate of Berwick Area High School, and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University, he is employed in the financial services industry.The couple is planning a May 18, 2013 wedding.
