Students at Tricia's Dance Extreme, Lehighton, recently participated in two competitions.

The Performing Arts Alliance took place Nov. 23-25 in King of Prussia.

In the 3-5 year age group, Kira Hettler was named "Tiny Miss Performing Arts. In modeling, she got a first place in dress, sportswear, loungewear and swimwear; a third place in novelty modeling; second place in solo classical and solo lyrical; third place in solo hip hop and solo specialty.

Kira and Blake Muffley earned a second place in duo jazz.

In the 6-7 year age group, Elizabeth Schlegel received a third place in sports wear and solo classical.

In the 8-9 year age group, Jaiden Muffley received a first place in dress modeling, solo hip hop and solo pantomime; a second place in sportswear modeling, swimwear modeling, solo modern and solo jazz; and third place in solo lyrical and solo classical.

Jayden and Kayla Despain earned a first place in duo lyrical and duo jazz and a third place in duo hip hop.

In the 10-12 year age group, the girls earned third place in group jazz.

In the 13-15 year age group, Brittany Miller received a second place in swimwear, loungewear and sportswear.

In the 16-18 year age group, Danielle Laub earned a third place in solo TV.

At the Contest of Champions, held Jan. 18-19 in King of Prussia, the following girls were recognized.

Brittany Miller was named the grand champion in the 13-15 age group for modeling, and won $250 in cash. She was also named top in the 13-15 age group.

Jaiden Muffley and Kayla Despain, in the 8-9 year age group were named top in jazz and top in lyrical.
