A knife wielding man got away with an unknown amount of cash after robbing the Lansford Turkey Hill around 10:30 p.m. last night. Immediately following the robbery, police put out an ATL (attempt to locate) broadcast for all surrounding departments. Despite a large response, the robber was not found.

According to police, the robber walked into the store, banged his knife on the counter and demanded the woman clerk to empty to cash register. The clerk complied and the robber took off towards West Bertsh Street.

The man was described as a thin male, about 5 foot 9 inches to 5 foot ten inches, wearing blue jeans, navy blue hoody, grey undershirt, black gloves. The robber was also said to be wearing a dark black mask and bandana.

Police added that the man was only in the store a short while and the clerk wasn't harmed.

"We are still investigating and encourage anyone with information to call our station," said Lansford Police Chief John Turcmanovich. The phone number to their station is (570) 645-5844.
