Pocono Mountain Regional Police have reported the arrest of Brianna R. Hill, 20, of Bushkill, on charges of theft and receiving stolen property stemming from the theft of jewelry from a home in Tobyhanna Township in which the accused was a cleaning lady.

Hill was arraigned on the felony charges and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.Police said they were called to Camp Owaissa Court in the township at 4 p.m. Dec. 25 for a report of a theft. Police said the complainants told them a cleaning company had been at their home the prior day, after which time they discovered jewelry valued at over $20,000 was missing.Police said further investigation revealed the jewelry had been sold the same night at a local jewelry store by Hill, who was one of the cleaning company workers. Police said Hill was interviewed and confessed to stealing the jewelry and selling it.
