No one was hurt when a deer ran into the side of a 2012 GMC Terrain vehicle when it was traveling on Pa. Route 183 in Wayne Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the accident happened at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 26.

Police said Catherine M. Kline, 43, of Myerstown, was traveling south when the deer entered the roadway from the area of the northbound shoulder and struck the driver's side door of the Terrain. Police said the vehicle continued south and came to rest along the southbound shoulder of the road.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
