Lehighton Bible Church news

Lehighton Bible Church, Jamestown and Center streets, Lehighton, will be Christmas caroling at the Lehighton High Rise at 6 p.m. today; and will hold a Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be a men's breakfast and fellowship at the Beacon 443 Diner at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28.

Prison Ministry will be held at the Carbon County Prison at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29.

The movie "The Christmas Wish" will be shown on New Year's Eve and there will also be planned activities for the young children.

Weekly services are held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Trinity happenings

Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold Fourth Sunday of Advent service at 9 a.m. The service includes the program "Good News, Great Joy" by the children of the Sunday School ages 3 through grade eight. Interim pastor the Rev. Don Hayn will preside. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday School classes resume at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 5.

Christmas Eve worship schedule: 6 p.m. family worship with music provided by the Trinity Praise Band, 9 p.m. will be a traditional candlelight worship. Special music will be played 20 minutes before the start of each worship service.

There are changes for the food pantry schedule over the upcoming holidays: pick ups will be on Monday, Dec. 23 and 30; hours remain unchanged at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church office is closed Dec. 25. The thrift store will be closed for a week over the holidays as well.

The community is invited to a free New Year's dinner of pork and sauerkraut in Luther Hall. from noon to 2 p.m., Jan. 1. Snow date is Jan. 2. Call the church office at 610-377-4303 to make your reservation.

Bethany services

Bethany E.C. Church, North Street, Lehighton, choir will perform "Joy to the World," a Christmas cantata by Jonathan Crumpton, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22. This musical combines the contemp orary with traditional carols.

A Christmas Eve service will be held at 7 p.m. at the church.
