Slatington Library lists events

The Slatington Library will off the Wonderful World of Wildlife Christmas Story Hour at 10 a.m. Saturday. All children ages 4 through fifth grade are invited. There will be animal stories and crafts.

The holiday schedule for the library will be: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23; closed Dec. 24-26; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27; 8 a.m. until noon, Saturday, Dec. 28; 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30; closed Dec. 31-Jan. 2; 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3; and 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 4.Regular library hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; closed Thursday and Sunday.The library takes donations of books. It does not take encyclopedias, National Geographic, or Reader's Digest condensed books.
