Jennifer Marie Gabrielle Yurick, daughter of Theresa Yurick and the late Paul J. Yurick Jr. of Summit Hill, was united in marriage to Aaron Thomas Getz, son of Thomas and Ronda Getz of Lehighton to Aug. 2, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Summit Hill.

Monsignor John McCann officiated the double ring ceremony. Robert Ames was the organist. Lauren Strohl was the vocalist.Given in marriage by her mother, the bride chose her sister, Lauren Yurick of Summit Hill, as maid of honor. Her sister Ashley Schirer, also of Summit Hill, served as matron of honor.Bridesmaids included Tara Shreppel of Carlisle, Kayla Field of Nesquehoning, Jessica Smith, Mebane, N.C. and Annie Braja of Burlington, N.C.Justin Peterson of Palmerton performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Brett Getz, Lehighton, brother of the bridegroom; P.J. Yurick, Summit Hill, brother of the bride; Joseph Mooney and Joshua Mooney, Lehighton; and Alex Sobolov, Somerville, Mass.The couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at Capriotti's in McAdoo. They honeymooned in St. Lucia, Caribbean.The new Mrs. Getz earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Kutztown University. She is employed as a third-grade teacher in Chapel Hill, N.C.Mr. Getz holds a master's degree in exercise science from East Stroudsburg University. He is employed by Duke University as a football strength and conditioning coach.The newlyweds currently reside in Mebane, N.C.
