Santa Claus will be coming to Summit Hill on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Weather permitting, he'll be brought to the hilltop community by helicopter, which will land at the Ginder Field.

Santa's arrival is part of the "Christmas on the Hill" program, sponsored by the Summit Hill Recreation Commission.

Jen Kosciolek, of the commission, said the arrival is planned for 10:30 a.m. by PennStar.

After he arrives, he will have breakfast with children of the community at the Summit Hill Community Center.

She said, "We ask that all children bring a donation for the Summit Hill food pantry. The pantry has a wish list this year for specfic items. Those items are juice, peanut butter, canned fruit, ketchup, mustard, salad dressing and cereals."

There is no charge for the Breakfast with Santa, but it is for Summit Hill residents only. However, anyone can view the arrival of Santa at the Ginder Field.

Assisting at the helicopter event will be members of the Summit Hill Fire Department.
