The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will hold its annual Holiday Dinner followed by its annual meeting, including election of officers, at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Fireline Hotel in Bowmanstown.
The club will also be making a presentation to honor Rep. Matt Cartwright in appreciation for his first year of public service representing the 17th Congressional District in the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
Due to limited seating, reservations and pre-ordering are requested for the dinner which begins at 5:30 p.m. with the meal served at 6 p.m. and the annual meeting called to order at 7 p.m. Dinner includes soup or salad, entrée from a wide-ranging menu, bread, soda, coffee and dessert. Reservations are due by Sunday evening, Dec. 8.
The area covered by the club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township. Meetings are at 7 p.m. monthly, the second Tuesday of the month, September to May, at the Fireline Hotel. Annual dues are $1 per year, which is due Jan. 1. Canned good donations are welcomed at each meeting for the local food pantry. Newcomers are welcome.
