A Middleport man is facing numerous charges related to a traffic stop in Rush Township on Nov. 9.

Township police on patrol stopped Joseph McGinley, 40, at 12:45 a.m. on Claremont Avenue and learned the license plate displayed on the vehicle was registered to another vehicle. The inspection sticker was also altered. Noticing several signs of intoxication, officers transported McGinley to St. Luke's Miners Hospital in Coaldale for blood tests.

The test results were positive for methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana. In addition to driving under the influence (DUI) charges, he will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving while under DUI suspension, altered/counterfeit documents, and fraudulent use or removal of a registration plate.
