State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the obtaining of drug prescriptions by fraud/forgery.

The incident occurred at the pharmacy in the Weis Market, located at 500 Pottsville Park Plaza, in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County.According to troopers at 5:46 p.m. on June 25, and on July 24 at 4:48 p.m., a female using a false name, provided prescriptions for oxycodone and fexeril to the pharmacy. The pharmacist contacted the telephone number on the prescription and was given verification that the prescription was legitimate.The female was provided the medication on both occasions. The pharmacist called a second time after the second prescription was given to the female and he realized the telephone number was for a cellular phone.Troopers are continuing their investigation of the incident.
