A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Lansford woman who failed to appear for a preliminary hearing.

Dawn Willis, 34, is facing shoplifting and drug related charges.

Mahoning Township Police said the charges stem from April 2, when Willis was detained by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention personnel as she attempted to leave the Mahoning Township store with a shopping cart full of merchandise.

Police said Willis failed to purchase any of the items valued at $331.69.

Police also allege that at the time of her arrest she was in possession of morphine sulfate, a drug not prescribed to her, and a cut straw which she stated was used to snort the drug.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Mahoning Township Police at (570) 386-2241.
