Weatherly Area Middle School and High School Band director Shannon Shughart is putting together a school and alumni band to play a concert during the Weatherly 150th Anniversary event. The concert will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Eurana Park bandshell.

Any music student from sixth grade through 12th grade in the Weatherly School District or WASD band alum is invited to play with the group.Two rehearsals will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, Aug. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. Both rehearsals will be held in the high school band room.To become part of the band or for more information, call or text Band Parents secretary Donnell Stump at (570) 579-8801 or email her at
