West Penn Lions Club hosts Senior Fun Day

Over 70 area seniors participated in the West Penn Lions/Lioness Clubs 32nd annual Senior Fun Day held Saturday at the West Penn Community Park. The free event, opened to West Penn residents 55 and older, consisted of music, ham and pulled pork meals and other activities. The event also included an information session by Janine Holter from the Attorney General's Office, who provided a presentation about phone scams, mail scams and the importance of a power of attorney. "This fun event gives an opportunity to give back to our area seniors," said Melissa Kistler, club President. "It also gives them a chance to socialize and enjoy a nice day out." West Penn Lions Club members Marie Gursky, treasurer, West Penn Lioness; 35 year Lion Paul Barth and Lion Al Martinez prepare free pulled pork meals for area seniors.
