CAROL ZICKLER/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS Joseph Bevins, formerly of Coaldale, was welcomed home by the third grade class of Heather Wagner on April 24. Bevins returned from the Army Reserves where he served in Afghanisatan prior to coming home. The class adopted the soldier as Wagner's classes have done in the past. They sent him over 30 packages and letters. He was ecstatic with them and presented the class with a framed U.S. Flag and certificate of appreciation on his surprise visit to them. Bevins is a 2011 graduate of Panther Valley High School. He is seen presenting the framed flag to PVES principal, Mary Figura, left, and teacher Heather Wagner, right.
