A Coaldale man has been cited by Tamaqua police following an incident at 5:20 a.m. on July 15.

Patrolman Brent Getz was dispatched to 158 Orwigsburg St. for an unwanted person report. At the scene he found John J. Kamant, 53, of 335 Ridge Terrace, on the sidewalk in an intoxicated condition. Kamant was unresponsive and was transported to St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, in the Tamaqua Community Ambulance.He will be cited for public drunkenness.
