Blue Mountain Health System will present a motivational program: Wild Women Who Dared ABCs of Wild Women Through History on Friday, April 12, beginning at 4 p.m. at the BMHS Conference and Education Center on Sixth and Iron streets, Lehighton.

Kristin Pedemonti (storyteller and guest speaker at the BMHS 2012 Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner) will lead the journey filled with vignettes of Women Who Dared, from crazy Celts to modern day divas. Hear about the founder of the Green Belt Movement, and a woman who writes love letters to strangers, a woman who followed her heart from Victorian England to the desert and more. Become inspired and motivated through stories of women from all over the globe who lived the lives they wanted in all sets of circumstances.

Pedemonti will begin the evening with a Happy half-hour.

The motivational program will begin at 4:30 p.m., dedicated to the women who lived outside the norm, those who said, "I don't care if these are the conventions of 1099, I'm gonna party like it's 1999," and will be followed up with an open mic, where women will have the option to share their wild stories in one line. The evening will end with the audience feeling its own inner fabulosity. There is a fee; refreshments and a light dinner are included.
