Silver Creek fire tower hike

Robin Tracey, environmental education specialist, at Tuscarora State Park, will be conducting a hike to the Silver Creek Fire Tower on Friday, Oct. 5. The hike will explore the mountain behind Locust Lake State Park. The hike is six miles in length and moderate in difficulty.

The pine stands and brush are perfect habitat for birds and other wildlife. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the visitor parking lot of Locust Lake located before the contact station. Dogs are allowed for the hike. All pets must be leashed and get along with people and other pets.For further information call Tracey at (570) 467-2506. The hike is a shine only event.
