St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning Township has added two new monthly worship services to their schedule.

Both are in the evening, to benefit people in the community who cannot always make Sunday mornings. "We find that so many have to work on Sunday, or their families are traveling, or the kids have mandatory events," explains Rev. Chris deforest, the church's pastor. "So once a month we now offer a Saturday evening and a Wednesday evening service."The new Saturday service takes place at 5 p.m. every first Saturday of the month. The other service, called Mid-Month Worship, will occur every third Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.Regular weekly services are Sundays at 9 a.m. All are welcome to attend St. John's Mahoning, located at 826 Mahoning Drive West across from Mahoning Valley Country Club.For more information, call the church office at (570) 386-9960.
