A Networking Mixer and Tour of the Lehigh Gap Nature Center will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7.Join the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce for an evening of networking and fun! Tour the newly expanded Lehigh Gap Nature Center.The Lehigh Gap Nature Center, 8844 Paint Mill Road, Slatington, is located at Lehigh Gap north of Slatington. Its mission is to preserve wildlife and habitat for the benefit of people through conservation, education, and research. A tour of the nature center will be given which will include seeing some of the beautiful hiking trails and the Lehigh River. The Lehigh Gap Nature Center promotes outdoor recreation and is a popular destination for walking, hiking, paddling, bicycling, birding, and other outdoor recreational activities. The center has led the re-vegetation of the Palmerton Superfund site, has developed an environmental education program, and recently moved into its new visitor and education center in July, 2010. The Nature Center Tour and mixer is a great way for chamber members to network outside the typical setting while enjoying the refreshing scenery!To register please respond to:
