Two persons are facing charges after a bizarre incident that happened Oct. 21 at 8:45 p.m. at Sammy's Mobile Home Park in North Manheim Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Christopher M. Pate, 33, and Kevin D. Mohl, 25, both of the mobile home park, were arrested for simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment. Pate is also charged with theft and other related charges while Mohl is facing other charges as well, including criminal mischief.

Police said the incident began when Pate removed a tire from a Dodge Neon owned by Michael J. Kirkland, 29, of Pine Grove, and left a note on the vehicle telling Kirkland to come to his house to speak with him over money he owed Pate.

Police said Mohl went to use Kirkland's vehicle and observed the missing tire. he then got into his Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck and drove it into Pate's Chevrolet Blazer, pushing the Blazer into a car trailer owned by Reinaldo Serrano, 59, also of the trailer park.

Police said when Mohl parked his pickup truck, Pate ran up to him. Police said Mohl exited the vehicle with an axe and Pate told him he was going to get a baseball bat. Mohl then fled the scene and parked his truck at a bearby Gulf service station north on Route 61, a short distance from the trailer park.

Police said Mohl walked back to the scene, at which time he and Pate engaged in an argument, squared off with one another and began to fight. Police said Pate punched Mohl in the face, knocking out a tooth. Both men remained on scene until police arrived and subsequently took the men into custody,
